Air Terminals (Lightning Rods)

Down Conductors
Heavy copper or aluminum cables that carry the lightning current safely down the outside of the building.
Earthing Pits (Ground Electrodes)
An earth pit (ground electrode chamber) is an underground concrete or plastic enclosure that houses a ground rod, plate, or pipe to safely divert electrical fault currents and lightning surges into the earth.
Surge Protection Devices (SPDs)
Internal devices that block sudden voltage spikes from damaging sensitive electronics inside the building.
